Shannon is a self-taught photographer who’s work captures those moments of natural beauty and expression that are so often overlooked by virtue of their brevity.

She studied art and fashion in university and then worked in the field of fashion and interior design. In 2008, she founded InRetro in Beijing, an exclusively mid-century European design furnishings shop and event space.

In 2014 she moved to Canada with her family to eventually settle west of Ottawa with her husband Tim and two daughters.

From day to day, life is focused around family and friends, capturing and recording in a narrative way, the characters and events that come and go.
